The Story

Trinidad-born, NYC-based. Raised on soca and Carnival in New Grant, South Trinidad, Pronto built a career across the full record — writing, producing, performing, mixing, and mastering. In 2021 he founded Trypp Records, an independent label whose riddim business now feeds Carnival seasons every year. Two hundred seventeen records in — from the Road March–winning “Soca Kingdom” (2018) and the 2025 Eskimo breakout to the latest cuts off the board — the catalog on this page is the receipts.

Joseph “Pronto” Figueroa
Also known as Okay Pronto (formerly Prince Pronto). Trinidad-born, raised in New Grant, South Trinidad, and now based in New York City. He is a producer, songwriter, and sound engineer, and he founded Trypp Records in 2021.
His breakout credit: writing and producing the 2025 “Eskimo (Remix)” by Trinidad Killa ft. Nicki Minaj — winner of the Caribbean Music Award for Soca Collaboration of the Year, plus iTunes #2 and Apple Music #50. Before that he wrote “Soca Kingdom” (Machel Montano x Superblue), the Trinidad Road March 2018 winner.

Canvas handled the design side of the build, extending the frosted-glass desert look consistently across all seven views of the site so every screen reads as one piece.
Sentry served as the independent fact-checker on the build, verifying every claim on the site against the underlying catalog before anything was published to the page.

Records
Trypp Records is the independent label Pronto founded in 2021 — run out of New York City, rooted in Trinidad & Tobago. It is the home of his records, and the engine behind them.
The riddim business is the backbone. Every Carnival season brings new riddim packs from the label — Turbo, Yahweh, Elders, Delta, Tactical, Wristband, YHWH, Jungle Book, Superbowl, King’s County, Cruise Control, Big Wave, 4AM, Just Do It, Fadda, Dutty Road, Honey Pack, and Next Zess — with voicings from artists across the soca world landing as the season heats up.
The label’s 2025 breakout was “Eskimo (Remix)” — Trinidad Killa ft. Nicki Minaj — which Pronto wrote, produced, mixed and mastered, and which went on to win the Caribbean Music Award for Soca Collaboration of the Year. “Private Party (The Origin Project)” (Machel Montano, 2021) and the Yahweh Riddim’s “YAHWEH” have followed it into the hits column.
